Pro-M Zrt. in the EOSC GRAVITY Project – Advancing Secure Scientific Data Sharing

Közzétéve: 2025-08-12

Pro-M Zrt. is a consortium member of the EOSC GRAVITY project, which launched in June 2025. Bringing together partners from Belgium, Austria, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland, the project supports the long-term development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and will run through the end of 2027. Its primary goal is to prepare the post-2027 operational and governance framework of the EOSC, based on sustainable and collaborative principles, and to facilitate a smooth transition toward that model.

The long-term societal mission of EOSC is to promote innovation and the practical application of scientific results through the open, standardized, and legally compliant management of research data. To this end, the GRAVITY project contributes to the review and renewal of the EOSC Strategic and Innovation Agenda, ensuring that future policies align with the evolving needs of the European research landscape.

EOSC GRAVITY actively engages national EOSC communities and research institutions across participating countries. It aims to involve stakeholders through open funding calls, supporting the creation of EOSC nodes, the development of new services, and the establishment of the EOSC Academy, which will play a key role in disseminating knowledge about the EOSC and the operation of the emerging EOSC Federation.

Pro-M Zrt. plays a key coordinating role in designing the project’s governance framework and is committed to strengthening regional participation by involving partners from Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe, thereby reinforcing the region’s position within the European research ecosystem. The company also contributes to capacity-building activities, including professional events, training programmes, and outreach initiatives, while fostering collaboration with other open science–focused projects.

For Pro-M Zrt., participating in such European-level initiatives is of strategic importance, as they enhance Hungary’s scientific and technological competitiveness. With its proven expertise in digital infrastructure, network security, and data protection, Pro-M is well-positioned to contribute to the success of EOSC GRAVITY.
