Pro-M Zrt. at CCW and GPSOC 2025.
For more than two decades, Critical Communications World (CCW) has served as the most significant global platform for service providers, operators, manufacturers, and users involved in mission- and business-critical communications. The 2025 conference, held in Brussels from 17 to 19 June, welcomed a record number of participants. With 200 speakers, 250 exhibitors, and around 4,000 professionals from over 90 countries, the event once again confirmed its status as the industry’s leading international forum. Organized by the TCCA (The Critical Communications Association), CCW 2025 featured an engaging and dynamic atmosphere, where Pro-M Zrt. participated with its own stand and presentation.
Global Public Safety Operator Conference (GPSOC)
Held on the day preceding CCW, the Global Public Safety Operator Conference (GPSOC) provided a focused venue for senior executives and technical experts from public safety service providers. Discussions centered on the certification (MCX Certification), procurement, and implementation of standardized mission-critical broadband systems. Participants also addressed key topics such as device-to-device communications, non-terrestrial networks, supply chain resilience, and the transition from narrowband to broadband services—a topic of ongoing strategic importance.
Governmental Village – Pro-M’s International Presence
Within the Governmental Village exhibition area, Pro-M Zrt. was among 25 public safety operators from around the world showcasing their solutions. The space enabled direct professional dialogue between European, North American, Canadian, Australian, and South Korean operators, including senior-level exchanges on service design, system integration, and innovation strategies.
At the Pro-M stand, specialists responsible for the company’s broadband mobile core and radio network development presented the operational and upcoming Pro-M broadband services, including the EDR 2.0 architecture, the launch of the Pro-M LTE network, and forward-looking concepts shaping EDR 3.0.
Presentation by Dr. Ferenc Balla – Shaping the Future of Government Communications
The Pro-M delegation was led by Dr. Ferenc Balla, CEO of Pro-M Zrt., who delivered a presentation on the evolution of Hungary’s governmental communication network. His talk outlined the path toward a more secure and digitally advanced ecosystem, highlighting the need for system simplification, service-oriented design, and a user-driven operational model. He emphasized that Pro-M’s developments—ranging from the EDR 2.0 enhancements to the Pro-M LTE rollout and the visionary EDR 3.0 concept—are not merely technological milestones, but foundations for next-generation digital public services.
Professional Development and Industry Partnerships
CCW and GPSOC also provided valuable opportunities for strategic and technical discussions with senior leaders from Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, and Airbus, as well as technical experts from Zebra, Sepura, and several semiconductor and SIM manufacturers. These interactions further strengthen Pro-M’s professional network and support its mission to deliver cutting-edge, secure communication systems.
Pro-M in Numbers
Pro-M’s nationwide mobile and fixed networks currently serve over 62,000 mission-critical users, 7,500 institutions, and millions of connected devices across Hungary.
